Introduction to Video Transitions - this tutorial will discuss how to apply the transition effects in Adobe Premiere CS 4.

 

Introduction of Video Transition

In every movie or animated transitions usually known term, namely the transfer from one scene to another scene. At each transition is also known a few patterns or effects. Of the many effects, dissolve effects are effects that are often used for applying alpha channel. In this tutorial, I will discuss some part of the transition effects found in Adobe Premiere CS4. Congratulations to follow.

 

Initial stage is to create a new project. Give the project name with the name "Transition Effect" or in accordance with the project name you want. For the keyboard shortcut, simply press [Ctrl + N].

 

Adjust the desired resolution. In the picture above, the author uses in the size of Full HD (1920 x 1080) and Widescreen.

 

Enter some image or movie into the timeline, and select transition effects contained in the Effects tab. Select the "Video Transitions | 3D Motion | Cube Spin".

 

Cube Spin Drag and navigate to the middle of the two movie or image objects (such as the picture above).

 

The picture above is the result of the use of the Cube Spin effects, namely the transition cube pattern as shown.

Each transition has the "Effect Controls" which serves as a regulator of the video transitions that we choose. The picture above shows the transition from image A to B with the effects Cube Spin and Alignment Center.

 

Another transition that we can try is to Curtain. You can find it in the menu "Video Transition | 3D Motion | Curtain". You can also find a search function with keywords "Curtain".

 

Part of the black timeline is the result of a transition that has been applied. Position of transition could be placed at the end, the middle or the beginning of the image or movie.

 

Another transition is worthwhile Cross Dissolve. Transition play alpha channel in an area that we often see in movies or animated films.

The picture above shows how the Cross Dissolve transition effects. If we look at, this transition has a smooth movement patterns and natural.

 

Effect Controls also functions as a regulator of the transition effects that we have applied. Timingnya can we extend or shorten according to taste. Way, simply drag the end of the transition to the right or left.

 

Center Peel is a transition that has a pattern like a folded paper out of the opening position of the central area. This effect is very unique and interesting. 

 

Securities Center Peel you can see in the image that works like atas.Transisi the four sides of paper folded out.

 

The next effect is the Iris Points. Find the tab "Effects", submenu "Iris | Iris Points". Select and drag to the timeline.

Once placed on the timeline, Iris Points will be like the picture above. The lower part of the picture image will be closed on it and form an X pattern

Center Merge is a transition that is part of the slide transition. You can get the Effects tab, submenu "Slide | Center Merge".

Picture above is the result of the transition Merge Center. Transition that led from the middle of the field, consisting of rectangular shape and then enlarged the whole area.

Checker Wipe Transitions are a part of the transition wipe with a chessboard pattern. This transition is in the Effects tab, submenu "Wipe | Wipe Checker". Navigate the transition to the timeline the video or image.

By using this transition, the picture you will get a chequerboard effect. This transition is simple and unique enough for you to try on a video or image you are created.

After trying several transition effects above, you also need to know how to delete it. Right-click on the transition in the timeline, then click again on the box with Clear writing. Good luck!
